This three‑year full‑time honours degree, based at the Streatham Campus in Exeter, offers a rigorous foundational education in computing, covering both theory and practical skills. You begin by learning key concepts such as procedural and object‑oriented programming, system architectures, and the mathematics needed for computing.In the later years you move into advanced topics like software design, networks, artificial intelligence, machine learning and individual project work where you design and build a substantial software system.The programme also offers a four‑year variant with an industrial placement year, allowing you to gain first‑hand work experience in computing‑industry settings and enhance your employability.Accredited by the BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT (and through that the Engineering Council) the degree meets the academic standard for a Chartered IT Professional and for Incorporated Engineer status.
