This three‑year honours programme merges the study of crime, policing and social data with technical training in data science (including statistical methods, programming in Python and R, and spatial/algorithmic analysis) to equip students to analyse crime‑related challenges in modern societies.Delivered at the Streatham Campus, the course is offered by the School of Sociology (within the Faculty of Social Sciences) and is run by the university’s Centre for Computational Social Science (C2S2).In the first year, you build your core technical and criminological foundation; in the second and third years you choose optional modules such as crime‑mapping, cybercrime, spatial analysis, data‑visualisation and research methods, culminating in a quantitative dissertation
