The three‑year full‑time honours degree in Geology is taught at the Penryn Campus in Cornwall by the Camborne School of Mines, and is designed to give students a detailed understanding of the Earth’s evolution, processes and systems—covering topics such as mineralogy, tectonics, sedimentology, climate change, and resource geology.You will gain extensive practical experience through more than 60 days of fieldwork and laboratory classes, with opportunities for independent research, and optional industry placements.Situated in Cornwall, the programme offers spectacular geological landscapes for hands‑on learning and field classes.On graduation, you’ll be equipped with strong technical and transferable skills—such as mapping, GIS, data interpretation and problem‑solving—and can pursue careers in mineral exploration, hydrogeology, geotechnics, environmental consultancy or further study.
