Bachelor of Science - Political Science

A political science degree focuses on government and international relations, public administration, and political theory.Our students regularly intern with local, state, and federal elected officials and find successful careers in government, campaigns, academic research and teaching, and international affairs.As a political science major at Southeast, students are challenged to critically engage with both national and international politics. The program offers close interaction with exceptionally well-qualified faculty members who work directly with students in small, focused settings. Opportunities to thrive extend beyond the classroom through involvement in specialized student organizations such as the Political Science and Political Theory Clubs, as well as the student honorary society Pi Sigma Alpha. Students gain valuable real-world experience through practicums, professional conferences, and internships. Participation in Model United Nations further enhances their understanding of global diplomacy and international relations. The program also provides strong preparation for graduate studies or advanced exams such as the LSAT.
