The Public Health major is designed for students interested in protecting and promoting the health of individuals, families, communities, and populations globally. Through a curriculum including courses such as Epidemiology, Fundamentals of Public Health, Health Care Law & Policy, Global Health, and Health Communications, students develop the ability to evaluate scientific information, understand how health behaviours and risks vary in diverse communities, and identify both modifiable and non-modifiable factors in disease patterns. By graduation, students are prepared to interpret public health data, communicate health issues effectively, understand policy implications, and collaborate across disciplines to advocate for community health improvements.
