The Certificate in Personal Support Worker (PSW) – Living Classroom Stream is a practical, hands-on program that prepares students to provide compassionate care and support to individuals across the lifespan, particularly seniors and people with disabilities. Delivered in partnership with long-term care homes or community care settings, the “Living Classroom” model combines in-class learning with direct, real-world experience in a healthcare environment. Students learn essential skills in personal care, mobility assistance, nutrition support, communication, and infection prevention. This unique setting allows students to engage with residents, staff, and healthcare teams daily, enhancing their readiness for immediate employment in the healthcare field.
