This one-year, three-term Ontario College Graduate certificate program is well suited for you if you are interested in working in an active environment where you will have an opportunity to impact the quality of life for children and adults with communication disorders.Communicative disorders assistants play a key role in supporting speech-language pathologists and audiologists to implement and monitor established treatment programs, support screening and assessment of hearing and speech function, and maintain equipment or therapy materials used to facilitate communication skills. Through a combination of theory lectures, immersive simulation experiences, highly engaging hands-on small group lab learning with specialized equipment in our state-of-the art hearing instrument specialist lab, you will be able to develop the knowledge, practical skills and judgement required to carry out treatment plans developed by registered speech-language pathologists or audiologists.
