Network Administration Technology diploma prepares graduates for a career as a computer network administrator. The skills you gain in this program can also be used towards industry certifications, such as current CompTia, Microsoft and Cisco certifications. Network administrators establish, operate, maintain and coordinate the use of local and wide area networks (LANs and WANs), mainframe networks, hardware, software and related computer equipment. They set up and maintain extranet, intranet and internet services, while monitoring and optimizing network connectivity and performance. They are employed in information technology units throughout the private and public sectors. They are prepared to work in the areas of troubleshooting and supporting data, wireless and voice networks, installing and upgrading computer hardware, installing and supporting computer software.
