Marquette University College of Nursing’s direct entry Bachelor of Science in nursing program prepare women and men to be a Marquette Nurse, who learn to care for patients with cura personalis (holistic care), advocate for the vulnerable, be a champion for social justice, an engaged critical thinker, and a courageous leader. Upon graduation, students are well prepared to provide safe, high-quality nursing care, care that encompasses populations of all ages in a variety of health care settings. As the Marquette Nurse, once admitted, students are guaranteed all required classes and clinical hours. This enables students to complete their degree in four years provided that academic performance is satisfactory. Students may choose a minor in an area of study or disciplinary honors. Specialized program plans are developed for the minor in conjunction with the academic adviser.
