The School of Industrial Design’s MFA program provides advanced study within focused fields of physical design. In addition to classroom and collaborative coursework, each student works toward producing a final thesis project. As a student in the School of Industrial Design, you will turn visions of the future into tangible objects in both the physical and digital realms. By combining the artistic skills that facilitate creative self-expression with the more pragmatic and practicable skills of scientific inquiry, you will find yourself at the center of art, business, and science. Whether it is creating modes of transportation or consumer products, you will learn to design with empathy for the user, employ logic in your solutions, and apply the appropriate aesthetics for both brands and users to enrich human life.
