A Central MS in Art Education prepares you to become a passionate art educator inspired to teach new generations of artists in the classroom and others who share your creative curiosity.Through this program you will gain a better understanding of your creative process, and develop your own artistic vision with the skills to realize it.The Master of Science in Art Education is a graduate-level program designed to deepen educators' expertise in both artistic practice and educational theory. This degree focuses on developing advanced skills in visual arts, art pedagogy, curriculum development, and research in education, enabling graduates to become leaders in art education at the K–12, community, or postsecondary level.Students engage in the study of art history, contemporary art issues, multicultural and inclusive teaching methods, and may also create a thesis or capstone project related to art education practices. The program often includes studio work alongside research and pedagogical coursework.
