The Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science provides the academic background necessary for entrance into advanced degree programs and positions in today’s demanding job market. This program offers the lab science and animal science course work and rigor to enter masters and doctoral programs in animal science. The course work necessary to apply to veterinary medicine programs is also available to students who wish to pursue that education path. Articulation agreements with Ross University’s Veterinary College guarantee qualified students entrance into their veterinary programs.Cobleskill offers an appealing personal college setting with strong Animal Science and Natural Science departments to support students during their education. The college maintains herds of horses, dairy cattle, and beef cattle. Other livestock housed on the college farm include swine, poultry, sheep and meat goats. Modern chemistry and biology laboratories give students additional valuable hands- on experiences.
