Plant Sciences provides instruction to students in associate (A.A.S.) majors of Horticulture, Landscape Development, and Sustainable Crop Production. Our bachelor (B.T.) programs offer majors in Plant Science with six specialized course sequence options and three separate B.T. majors in Landscape Contracting, Golf Turf Management, and Sports Turf Management.Plant science is housed in the new $45 million Center for Agriculture and Natural Resources with high-tech labs and classrooms for programs in Plant Science, Animal Science, Environmental Studies, and Fisheries and Wildlife. As part of the Center for Agriculture and Natural Resources, four large brand new state-of-the-art greenhouses and a glass-house conservatory provide instructional environments in the popular areas of hydroponics, floriculture, greenhouse management, and plant production. A 33-station computer-aided design laboratory is available for students enrolled in our nationally recognized and accredited Landscape Contracting program.
