Bachelor of Science - Computer Science

ODU's Computer Science program is broadly focused with an emphasis on the underlying science of the discipline. The major provides a solid foundation in computer programming concepts, networks, database systems and analysis of information technology. ODU’s Computer Science program prepares students for an exciting career in the fast-growing and ever-changing field of information technology. Students develop important workplace and life skills in the areas of critical thinking, presentation, writing, team, technology and interpersonal communication. The Computer Science program teachers students to think analytically to devise systems and programs, and also to think creatively to troubleshoot and solve problems. Students gain a solid foundation in computer programming concepts, networks, database systems and analysis of information technology.
