A frequently asked question is ‘What do managers do?’ Managers plan, lead, and coordinate health and human services organizations in a growing and continuously changing environment. They typically oversee departments, clinics, hospitals, or networks where no day is the same. Managers can do their important work in a wide range of public and private organizations such as pharmaceuticals, community health departments, nursing homes, laboratories, insurance companies, and not- for-profit organizations. Courses reflect the need for students to balance clinical and business aspects of managing health and human services organizations.
