Course overview

Psychologists study the brain, behaviour, and mental processes. Psychology is an ideal filed of study for people who wonder why people act the way they do, or how they might help people change their thoughts and behaviours for the better. At Acadia, students are taught how to answer their own questions about human behaviour and not just what others have learned about psychology. Students will have the opportunity to do hands-on psychological research early in their studies. Class limits of 25 for laboratory courses and 20 for upper-year seminar courses allow students to consider issues in depth, in a small group atmosphere. Acadia University's intimate program size allows students to get to know faculty members and fellow students well.
