Take the lead in protecting and managing our natural environment with SIT’s Bachelor of Environmental Management. You’ll gain a strong foundation in environmental science, environmental policy, earth systems, research skills, ecology and conservation, supported by practical fieldwork and applied research. Graduates are well-equipped for roles in consultancy, local and central government, conservation, and beyond—ready to address the environmental challenges facing New Zealand and the world. The degree is offered through a HyFlex ('Hybrid-Flexible'), format, using a mix of online classes for the theoretical papers, and face-to-face classes on the Invercargill campus for the practical components.
