The MSc Education program, students will gain an in-depth understanding of education as a field of study and explore connections between education and other social institutions that play a role in addressing education problems, from a comparative perspective. Students will study complex issues faced by teachers, education leaders, and decision-makers in an increasingly globalized context. These issues include the search for relevance, efficiency, and inclusion, all of which require innovative solutions. Working collaboratively with classmates and academic staff, and engaging in seminar and class discussions, students will acquire new skills, deepen their knowledge, and benefit from diverse perspectives across education, sociology, policy analysis, and psychology. Students will be challenged to evaluate and formulate clear recommendations for educational practice and organizations, as well as design innovative interventions that empower learners by improving the quality and relevance of their education. The MSc Education program offers opportunities to explore practical areas such as curricular design, planning for teaching and learning in a rapidly changing world, the impact of globalization on educational ideas and practices, and the future of education. It will enable students to develop their knowledge of teaching and learning, as well as their ability to understand and conduct research in educational contexts.
