This accredited course provides the knowledge, skills and hands-on experience that students need to become a work-ready engineer. Through laboratory sessions and a range of practical activities, they will embed the knowledge from their lectures and tutorials. There are opportunities for students to complete work placements and sponsorships through the connections to industry. Students will explore a range of authentic engineering problems and industry-focused scenarios, both individually and with student engineers from other disciplines. Group work mirrors the relationships of an engineering team and will help them to build professional skills, such as teamwork and communication. Open access makerspace provides a place for students to design, create and collaborate.
