Aeronautical engineering is the application of scientific and technological methods to research, design, develop, maintain, and performance test both civil and military aircraft. As the race to take flight further escalates, now is an exciting time to consider a career in the field of aeronautical engineering. Delivered over three years (or four if you choose to include a placement year), you will study a suite of modules that will embed theoretical knowledge, build career-focused skills, and help you become a world-class engineer. In year one, you will study modules designed to enhance your core aeronautical engineering knowledge, and you’ll explore elements of aircraft design as you progress to year two. During your final year, you’ll focus on advanced flight systems and complete individual research as part of your final project.
