Graduates of this program are prepared to work and continue learning within any segment of the industry.The electrical engineering curriculum produces well educated graduates prepared to practice engineering at a professional level in an era of rapid and challenging technological development. The goal of the professional portion of the curriculum is to emphasize basic areas of study while providing the flexibility to accommodate a diversity of interests and talents. To this end, the curriculum emphasizes engineering design, hands-on laboratory experience, knowledgeable use of digital computer systems, oral and written communication skills, the importance of business, economic, social and global forces on engineering, appreciation of the need to maintain the highest ethical standards, and the maintenance of professional competence through continued self-improvement after graduation.
