You'll receive clinical nursing experience in community and institutional settings each term. In addition to working days, you may be required to work some evening, night and weekend shifts in the clinical settings. Before each clinical course, you'll get two opportunities to pass the Medication Administration Proficiency Exam (MAPE). You will be required to delete your registration in the clinical course, if you fail the MAPE exam. The program begins with admission to Keyano College in Year one as a student in the University of Alberta Collaborative Baccalaureate Nursing Program with Keyano. For the first three years, you are a registered Keyano student. You apply for official admission to the University of Alberta in year three for your fourth year. As long as you meet the criteria, you continue at Keyano College in your fourth year. Keyano College reserves the right to modify the syllabus, curriculum, or schedule of any course/program, or to cancel a course/program entirely, at any time and for any reason. Such changes may be necessary due to unforeseen circumstances, regulatory requirements, or to ensure the highest quality of education. Students will be notified of any significant changes as soon as possible. Keyano College is not responsible for any inconvenience or disruption caused by these changes. It is the responsibility of the students to stay informed about any updates or modifications to their courses.
