The Biochemistry program is about fearless explorations of wonders at the interface of biology and chemistry. Under the direction of Dr. Xiao-Ning Zhang, the program provides a basic understanding of living systems that emphasizes the molecular and cellular aspects of biology. The Biochemistry program is accredited by the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. All of our Biochemistry graduates have achieved ASBMB certification, an assurance that they have the knowledge and understanding of core competencies in biochemistry and molecular biology. The majority of our graduates have achieved certification with distinction, placing them in the top 13% of Biochemistry graduates nationwide who have participated ASBMB certification exams.
