Strategic Communication equips students with the practical skills and ethical decision-making needed to understand and evaluate organizational dynamics, and to guide the future of interpersonal, organizational and cultural communication within businesses and organizations in domestic and global markets. Majors in our program learn how strategic communication supports larger business goals. You will learn to use your skills in critical thinking, analysis and research to scan professional environments, create integrated and complex communication plans, and how to execute those plans using traditional, digital, social and emerging communication channels. Our program evolves as communication culture and technology evolve, keeping up with developments in the ever-changing communications landscape.
Like all Jandoli School students, Strategic Communication majors must complete 400 hours of internships. You will also enjoy an experiential learning opportunity that puts you in professional situations with close faculty mentorship. Our aim is to prepare you for strategic communication positions with for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. You will:

- -Develop professional presentation skills
- -Learn how to effectively and ethically communicate crisis situations
- -Practice utilizing these skills with real clients in an agency setting
