Crown Institute of Higher Education (CIHE)
The Master of Teaching (Early Childhood) (Birth to Five) is a two-year postgraduate degree designed to prepare students for teaching roles in early childhood education settings. The program combines theory with practical experience to develop skilled, reflective, and culturally responsive educators who can support the learning and wellbeing of children from birth to five years. It includes a nested Graduate Diploma option and meets national accreditation standards. A graduate of the Master of Teaching (Early Childhood) (Birth to Five) may progress to secure employment in the public and private sectors as Early Childhood Teacher, Preschool Educator, Childcare Centre Director, Early Learning Coordinator, Family Support Worker, Educational Program Leader, Community Education Facilitator, Curriculum Developer, Early Intervention Specialist, or Education Policy Assistant. Graduates may also pursue further study or academic careers as Education Researchers, Early Childhood Lecturers, or Policy and Advocacy Specialists.
