Course overview

The Environmental Studies major brings together dedicated faculty from multiple disciplines to provide an interdisciplinary degree with a strong foundation in the natural sciences.  The major is designed for students with an interest in the general environmental issues facing humans, with concern for their social and policy aspects.

The structure of the major encourages students to minor across divisions (social science, business, fine/performing arts, and the humanities).  Through courses, laboratory, and fieldwork, as well as a capstone study, the major provides students with skills and knowledge to address current environmental challenges.
