The film industry is thriving in Canada and there is a growing need for skilled workers in this dynamic and exciting field. Students will learn hands-on the art of filmmaking using the latest digital technologies. This program is geared for the industry of today, and will immerse them in all aspects of production including cinematography, screenwriting, editing, post production techniques, lighting and sound, and directing. Students will gain a solid foundation in cinematic storytelling and graduate with the tools they need to enter this rapidly-changing and evolving field. Students will learn:
- Directing, assistant directing and casting
- Scriptwriting and producing
- Cinematography, lighting and camera movement
- Production design and art direction
- Production processes and management
- Working at Heights Certification
