The Master of Science in Computer Science at University of South Dakota will prepare students to excel as a professional in the field. They will learn the ins and outs of the latest technological developments, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, pattern recognition, data science, information retrieval, internet of things, cybersecurity and big data. They will learn to apply their knowledge to solve real-world problems in every facet of society. A master's degree in computer science prepares students for a career in any type of field as technology continues to shape the world. They will receive foundational knowledge that they can use to understand the complex problems of today and create the solutions of tomorrow. This program requires 30 credit hours and offers both a thesis and non-thesis track.
