Bachelor of Business Administration - Accounting

Accounting is an integral part of any business. Information regarding business operations and management decisions flow through the accounting systems and get reflected in the financial statements. As a subsection of the business program, students will strengthen their public speaking skills, take part in labor negotiations day, enjoy many field trips and  study courses that give the student a broad understanding of other aspects of business such as economics, marketing ,management and finance.  An accounting major acquires knowledge to create and maintain an accounting system based on generally accepted accounting principles. The program also encompasses understanding of auditing, taxes and accounting information systems. Students use spreadsheets and accounting software to prepare budgets, financial statement analysis, and communicate their results in written and oral presentations. Major skills developed are technical, analytical, technological and communication skills.
