Bachelor of Arts in Accounting

The School of Accounting at FIU educates students to achieve great success in today’s accounting industry. The program provides the most current knowledge and emphasizes the skills needed for success in public, private and government sectors—and to pursue an advanced degree. The Bachelor of Accounting program curriculum includes comprehensive technical competencies, as well as important professional capabilities, including verbal and written business communication skills. For public accounting, you'll also need to pass the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examination, which in Florida requires 30 credit hours beyond the Bachelor of Accounting degree.
